TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne just kicked off his new solo acoustic tour this month and one of his first stops is the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriter's Hall of Fame inductee has written and performed some of the most inspirational and memorable songs in pop music including "Running on Empty," "The Pretender," "Somebody's Baby," "These Days" and "Doctor My Eyes." In other words, he's one of those guys where you find yourself saying, "I didn't know he wrote that." Two of his albums, Late for the Sky and The Pretender, were named in Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time." 8 p.m. Wed., Nov. 18, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, 953-3368 or vanwezel.org, $40-$60.
